GROWTH
ISC has expanded rapidly from its original five locations to twelve. In 2000, ISC opened its Waco distribution center, followed quickly in 2001 with a new drywall distribution center in Prosper and the acquisition of its Walker & Byrd Building Materials lumber yard in Huntsville. Walker & Byrd was acquired to meet the growing demand for dimensional lumber, doors, millwork and exterior building products in South Texas, and to complement and expand the company's product offerings. In early 2004, ISC opened the Houston distribution center to serve both residential and commercial drywall contractors in Southeast Texas. The College Station distribution center was opened in January 2005, to meet the needs of our contractors for residential and commercial building products in the Bryan/College Station market. In April 2005, ISC acquired lumber yards in both Waxahachie and Ennis, and opened the Longview distribution center. In March 2008, ISC opened its newest drywall distribution center in San Antonio. ISC is the largest, independently-owned distributor/supply house for commercial building materials in Texas. With thirteen statewide locations, covering Texas' major population centers, ISC takes care of its customers' needs throughout the state.
